The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

Jesus instituted Communion

Luke 22:15 And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer:
1 Corinthians 11:23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread . . .

The Passover reveals Jesus

• Lamb was slain
• Blood was applied
• It was a time of deliverance

Communion: The Table

• The Table - a PLACE for everyone
• Unworthily = IRREVERENTLY

Communion: The Bread

• A SACRIFICE for everyone
• 1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Communion: The Blood

• DELIVERANCE for everyone
• Matthew 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
• Remission = FREEDOM
