When I got up this morning I was sure that the school missed it. It was only raining, and you know how the weather forecasters miss it sometimes. I think it was last year when they called off school and nothing happened!

I have been out several times already and each time I think: wow, the school district got this one right. Each time I go out the snow is a little deeper and it is a little colder. Back to snow days. . . I wish life had snow days! Wouldn't it be wonderful to have a snow day now and then? It would be one of those days when you wouldn't feel guilty about staying in and doing nothing. You could catch up on anything you wanted to do (or not do). It would just be a bonus day!

Well I suppose that is just a dream. However maybe we can squeeze in a snow-hour, during our day. Even a snow-half-hour would help. (Maybe this isn't an original idea: I heard on the news this morning that people who take a 30 minute noon nap, three times a week are less likely to have a heart attack.) Bottom line give yourself permission to stop a breathe. Meditate on the goodness of God. Dream. Recharge your life. By the way: if you do . . . don't forget to set an alarm.

Blessings! Pastor Mark
