What is important?
We sometimes use the word so flippantly. Even those signs that say "important" we don't stop and read (the ones fastened to our power cords, etc.). We don't read them because we have more "important" things to do.
Last night while discussing Experiencing God; our relationship with God emerged as the most important -- more important than our work "for" Him. Most if not all would recognize that; or at least give a mental nod to that one. But if we aren't pursuing a relationship is it really "important" to us?
Maybe we should start with the definition of "important" it means, "of significance or value; crucial; or of high position." With that definition in mind, what is important in your life?
God? Family? People more than Things? After listing the important things in your life; the next question is how does your life reflect that importance to each of them.
Help someone know today know how important they are to you.
I'll leave you with a quote from the movie Mr. Mom, Michael Keeton's character says, "Honey, you gave me some real good advice once, so let me give you some of my own. It's real easy to forget what's important, so don't."
