In the January 22 box on my desk calendar there are numbers in the upper right hand corner. It means that we are 22 into the new year and we have 343 days left this year. This is the first time I have noticed these numbers but they have always been there.

Sometimes there are things that we see everyday and don't notice them. Houses that we pass on our way to work -- not me of course, I just walk from next door -- but you understand. Perhaps there are people that we pass; that we really don't acknowledge. It is easy to do.

Do we miss important things too? I wonder if we miss opportunities or verbal clues about needs in people's lives. Or perhaps we could miss the joy of 022/343. What happened today?

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. (Psalm 90:12)
