Balance

• We need balance in our lives.

Defining Prosperity

Christians around the world face hardships and persecution for their faith. Voice of the Martyrs’ goal is to support and provide information about this. Their website is full of resources such as letter writing campaigns to people jailed for their faith. They follow individual and national cases of persecution. They host conferences and speakers who live or work in persecuted nations. Hebrews 13:3 says, “Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.” The Voice of the Martyrs website lets us know how to pray for our fellow believers all throughout the world.

Jesus Teaches About Purity

• Mark 7:20 - He went on: "What comes out of a man is what makes him 'unclean.‘’21 For from within, out of men's hearts, come evil thoughts . . .
• In Jesus day, people were more concerned about washing their hands, than what was in their hearts.
• Our heart is the key to inner purity
• Matthew 5:8 - Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

Definitions of Purity

• Proverbs 20:9 Who can say, "I have kept my heart pure; I am clean and without sin"? 10 Differing weights and differing measures-- the LORD detests them both. 11 Even a child is known by his actions, by whether his conduct is pure and right.
